The
Community Assets/Needs Assessment of Wexford/Missaukee Counties
is a community collaborative committed to working together to develop
and implement
a
community action plan for identified priorities. The CANA Steering Committee
is chaired by the United Way of Wexford County. The CANA Executive Committee
is made up of the United Way of Wexford County, The Cadillac Area Community
Foundation, and the Multi-Purpose Collaborative Body of Wexford/Missaukee
Counties. The Community Partnership includes over 50 organizations.
Based
upon Community-Building Principles using the COMPASS II guide, CANA
has formed a wide community partnership, surveyed community needs, collected
indicator data, and determined top priorities for action planning. Five
priorities have been identified as of May 2003. Three Action Teams are
currently being formed to address the issues. Please contact the United
Way office to join this community wide effort.
