United Way Of Wexford County Community Investments

 

United Way announces the availability of funding applications for the 2010-11 fiscal year to begin April 1, 2010. All applications are due to the United Way Office by February 2, 2010.

All programs will be reviewed by United Way staff and Community leaders for :

1. Organizational documentation

2. Alignment with Community Priorities (see Community Impact Agenda)

3. Financial stability and Program budget

4. Effectiveness and Outcome measurements

All programs meeting United Way standards for the above criteria will be invited to a Panel Review in March to represent and defend funding requests. Recommendations from volunteers on the panels will be reviewed by the United Way Community Investments Committee and approved by the United Way Board of Directors.

Community Response Grants:

The United Way Board sets aside at least 1% of the annual campaign to meet emerging needs in the community throughout the year. Grants are awarded year-round as funds permit. Application information is available through the following links or by calling the UW office at 231-775-3753.
